Old siding that's warped, faded, or rotted in multiple spots usually costs more to keep patching than to replace outright — we'll tell you honestly which situation you're in.
Every tear-off includes a moisture reading on exposed sheathing before new material goes up, not just a visual glance.
Hidden rot gets caught and priced before it's covered back up, not discovered years later as a bigger problem.
Full removal and disposal is handled by insured crews familiar with Scotch Plains, NJ disposal and permitting requirements.
We carry the liability coverage a full tear-off project requires, not just a repair-scale policy.
Local estimators can typically get to your home within days, not weeks, for a full replacement quote.
We prioritize homes with visible widespread damage or active leaks ahead of routine scheduling.
Tear-off, disposal, sheathing contingency, and new material are itemized separately on one written estimate.
If hidden damage is found mid-project, you approve that specific cost before we proceed — no blanket change orders.
A proper replacement means the wall behind the siding gets checked, not just covered over with something new.
Every old panel, trim piece, and fastener comes off and gets hauled away — nothing left leaning against your fence for a week. We sweep magnetic nail-finders across the yard afterward so stray fasteners don't end up in a mower or a bare foot.
Soft, delaminated, or water-stained sheathing gets cut out and replaced before new siding covers it back up. We photograph any damaged sheathing before and after repair, so you have a record of exactly what was replaced.
A fresh weather-resistive barrier goes on before new panels, correctly lapped and taped at every seam. Seams get taped with manufacturer-approved tape rather than generic duct tape, which fails within a season or two.
Material choice — vinyl, fiber cement, or insulated — gets decided during the estimate, not assumed for you. Panel layout is planned before the first course goes up so seams land in consistent, less visible positions.
Rotted fascia and worn soffit panels get replaced alongside the siding so the whole exterior gets addressed at once. Fascia board thickness gets matched so gutters hang correctly once reinstalled.
We'll ask a few quick questions to gauge scope before scheduling the on-site visit.
We look at attic and interior walls too, since moisture problems often show there first.
We flag any sheathing repair that's likely needed based on what's visible, so the estimate isn't a surprise later.
Old material comes off, the wall gets inspected and repaired as needed, and new siding goes up with warranty registration at close.
Old aluminum siding came off in a day and disposal was included, no dumpster sitting in our driveway for weeks.
Quote broke out tear-off, sheathing contingency, and new material separately, so we knew exactly what we were paying for.
Crew cleaned up every evening, which mattered since we have young kids playing in the yard after school.
Full re-side took about ten days including a sheathing repair we didn't expect, and the price didn't move once they found it — covered under the original contingency.
